KCLC was established in December 2000 as part of the Government's “WIRED UP COMMUNITIES" initiative - KWUC.
The first part of the KWUC Project involved the distribution 2000 internet ready PCs into the local community.
The second part of the initiative was to train people how to use these PCs, and so Kensington Community Learning Centre ( KCLC ) was formed.
KCLC offer free IT and Skills for Life courses for local L6 and L7 residents. The courses on offer are based on student demand and range from taster courses and entry level Skills for Life courses, and Level 1 IT courses, right through to level 3.
The centre is situated on Kensington High Street (facing McDonalds) and are open 5 days a week 9.00 - 5.00 and (currently) one evening per week - Thursday 5.00 - 8.00
You can find details of all the courses run at the centre in the Course Detail section of the site, and with the exception of our taster courses, all courses lead to formal Nationally recognised qualifications.
Our aim here at KCLC, is to provide a safe and friendly environment for ALL students to learn in.
